Software Engineer (.NET)

We are looking to hire a .NET Software Engineer who is interested in making a significant contribution to our rapidly-growing product line. As a full-time member of our Product Development team, you will have an excellent opportunity to apply your software engineering skills within a fast-moving, investor-backed startup environment that values creativity and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and integrate components of a networked, database-driven enterprise software product suite
• Translate functional requirements into proof-of-concept demonstrations and working application components
• Debug and document component usage and interoperability
• Collaborate with members of the Product Development and Professional Services teams on tasks related to product design, enhancement requests, customer support, and quality assurance

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Previous software development experience using the Microsoft .NET platform, including experience developing Windows Forms applications in VB.NET (preferred) and/or C#
• Understanding of Windows application development, including commonly-used objects, events, properties, and APIs
• Working knowledge of SQL-compliant databases, Web Services, and network data transfer
• Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems creatively
• Solid written and oral communication skills
• A can-do, team-oriented attitude

Nice to Have

• Experience developing against the Microsoft Office Object Model (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Experience developing ASP.NET Web Services and Web Applications
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience configuring and administering Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and MySQL databases
• Experience working with any of the following: C++, Visual Basic 6, Extended MAPI, ActiveX controls
• Graphic/UI design skills and visual acuity
