.NET Developer Intern

We seek a .NET Developer intern who is interested in making a significant contribution to our rapidly-growing product line. This paid internship affords an excellent opportunity to apply and enhance your software engineering skills within a fast-moving, investor-backed startup environment.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test components of a networked, database-driven enterprise software product.
• Translate functional requirements into working application components, building proof-of-concept demonstrations as necessary.
• Debug and document component usage and interoperability.

Required

• Previous software development experience / coursework with the Microsoft .NET platform, including experience with VB.NET (preferred) or C#
• Understanding of basic Windows application development, including commonly-used APIs, objects, events, and properties
• Working knowledge of databases, and the ability to construct basic SQL queries and commands
• Conceptual understanding of Web Services and other mechanisms for transferring data across a network
• Ability to identify and solve problems creatively
• Solid written and oral communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience developing and debugging applications with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005
• Experience developing ASP.NET Web Services and Web Applications
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with any of the following database systems: Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, MySQL
• Experience working with Visual Basic 6 and ActiveX components.
• Graphic design skills
